Overview: Industrial grade polyvinyl acetate (PVAC) is a thermoplastic homopolymer resin, which is widely used in composite materials, adhesives, polylactic acid (PLA) and other fields. The import substitution of similar products has been fully realized.

Solubility and Compatibility of PVAC
Solubility: soluble solvent and monomer
Methyl (B, C, B, Amyl) acetate, (C, B, cyclohexane) ketone, styrene, di (III) chloromethane, trichloroethylene, methyl methacrylate,
methanol, ethanol (94%), isopropanol (90%), n-butanol, tetrahydrofuran, unsaturated resin, vinyl ester resin, epoxy resin, etc.
Compatibility: compatible plasticizer
Plasticizer is added to PVAC resin to improve flexibility and viscosity, reduce heat sealing temperature and enhance water resistance. Coatings and adhesives containing PVAC resin usually require only a small amount of plasticizer to improve flexibility. High plasticizer content (20% or more) will greatly reduce the softening point and heat resistance of the adhesive, and improve the surface viscosity of the adhesive and coating containing PVAC.
Recommendation of PVAC common plasticizers
Dibenzoate: diethylene glycol dibenzoate or dipropylene glycol dibenzoate
Polymer plasticizer: polyadipate
Glyceryl triacetate
Use and storage
1. When using, carefully add the product to the solvent system to ensure the dispersion and suspension of polymer particles. Avoid agglomeration, which may cause difficulty in dissolution.
2. In order to prevent polymer particles from sticking, the product should be stored at a temperature lower than 20 ℃ under dry conditions to avoid direct sunlight.
